Tudors Season 3 is still great TV; but MUCH different than previous seasons.
Season 1 and 2 are all about sex, passion, intrigue. Season 3 is all about violence, excess (NOT the fun kind), and religion.
Season 3 is the same quality of acting, production, etc; but it is a different time in England and the priorities have shifted. One obvious issue is that people don't seem to be aging. While it is odd, it is also understandable.

Nasty by Mel Smith is a trade paperback of gay male erotica. There is LOTS of harsh BDSM, no shortage of hardcore sex, extreme power exchanges, and great visualls that I carry with Me. This is one of My favorite pieces of erotic literature. I have read many and only keep a few . . . this is one that I return to again and again.

The story is set in the early 1900s in Korea. A female child is born to a calligrapher and his wife. The child, names herself Najin. She forges her own destiny, balancing Confucian tradition of her father and the Christianity of her mother. To escape an arranged marriage, Najin goes to the emperor's palace to be a companion to the princess' which she ends up losing due to the collapse of the Dynasty. She continues to pursue her own desires to work and become educated. She meets a man and gets married . . . but sadly, never gets to spend any time with him and eventually gives him up as lost. They end up reunited and Japan surrendering. The story is OK; not gripping . . . but interesting none the less.

The Lost Symbol by Dan Brown is a good read. I tried to read the Da Vinci Code; simply couldn’t. It was so boring that I simply couldn’t get into it. Then I read Angels and Demons and was completely STUNNED that it was same author. Angels and Demons was a fun action adventure that was eminently readable. Read the rest of this entry »

Heard this today while I was working out . . . love it! She is GREAT and the beat will be great for sessions . . .
So, part of “getting into” anything is dipping your toe and enjoying and then finding out more about the “landscape”. Having enjoyed quite a few cigars this year, I decided to venture into actually finding out something about them. Can you imagine? Read the rest of this entry »
