In the last few weeks on a variety of boards I have come to realize something. I am not too proud of it; I am OLD. I have noticed that there is a rash of people asking for BASIC information. By this I mean information that could readily be found by using Google and perhaps FEW brain cells. What makes Me old is two things:
- I noticed that all the “askers” were under 25; and
- That is annoys Me.
I know about the new cooperative business and networking models where we assist others by providing information as requested. I have no problem participating in this; none at all.
I also do not believe in reinventing the wheel!
I do, however, think that people should do a little for themselves and ask questions when NEEDED . . . not simply when I (you) are more convenient. Really.
What are the limits on this new model? When do the young’uns learn to RESEARCH?
Most that know Me will think this is a very odd post; but there ya have it.
