The kitten saga continues. This story is working toward a happy ending!
Fetish and Mojo went for the 6-7 week check for deworming. I went to a new vet recommended by My boy. This was vet MUCH nicer and both he and his staff were very interested in the kitties and their well being – a little different than the last vet. I am sure they got good care there; just not much L O V E.
Overall they are doing well, but too small for vaccinations yet. When they are 2.5 pounds they will go back for those. Both have been tested for Feline Leukemia and Feline HIV; negative in all cases. YEAH!
Fetish is 1lbs 7oz.
Mojo is 1lbs.
The vet said that the rule of thumb is 1lb at 4 weeks and 2 lbs at 8 weeks . . . after that is varies WIDELY.
All in all the first trip to the vet was a success.
For now, they are growing, acting like kittens, and eating voraciously. Oh, and enjoying the fire. It will be nice when Mojo is be enough that he can get up on the bed and sleep with Me; for now that is not an option. When you are so small and cannot get down . . . and get to the kitty litter on your own . . . you sleep on the floor; at least in My bedroom.
Fetish has the cutest warble . . . something in addition to purring and crying.
