Why do our “elders” not come out more often?

• Why do those with experience, poise, and a sense of tradition do not frequent our local establishments?
• Why are they silent?
• Why are they not there to lead?

Here is the answer (a friend wrote to Me):

Greetings and Farewell – I’ve been a Gentleman Dom all My life and of late from what I’ve seen of the Lifestyle portrayed here in large part — it’s time I moved on.

The past two months on Fetlife have taught Me that there is very little of the Honor Codes and mutual Respect and Consideration that formed the old days of the Lifestyle back when it was indeed The Hidden Community.

My lady and I have thought long about this, and we came here seeking friends and asking nothing of O/others save that, and while a few were nice, many others feel this Lifestyle is a place to trash others and their belief’s, to screw them any way they can, to rob them of their respect and honor, to mock their commitment to each other, because they themselves have no respect for anyone – not even themselves.

To the F/few here that did act as responsible people – those I called F/friend – I wish you well – and if one day you should look out at the Sun and see a blue sky and think – what else is there out there for M/me? Then do as we are doing… go out that Door and find that Blue Sky and leave the Darkness behind.

The only Darkness in a soul is what you allow to remain there… the only light in your Life, is the Love you share with another.
